Julia Lane

With their first, self-titled album in 1987, Castlebay's performances of traditional British Isles and sea music featured exciting 4-part harmonies supported by guitars, piano and tin whistle. Becoming a trio in 1989, the group added Celtic harp, viola, violin, cello and other keyboards as they explored new instrumental textures. As a duo, Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee continue with undiminished energy. They blend original and traditional music of Maine with Celtic undertones reflecting an Old World legacy. This album features Julia solo on harp. Simply lovely.
